Programme Department
We’re looking for Norwegian Scouts to join the Programme Team!
When 6000 Guides and Scouts gather at Roverway this summer, we’re excited to introduce them to Norwegian scouting. But there’s a catch – we’re missing Norwegian scouts in the program team! Is that you?
Roverway’s program team currently consists of 33 wonderful individuals from various countries – both young adults and experienced heroes. Their task? To create an NORTH of the Ordinary programme based on the following themes:
⚜️ Scouting and guiding culture
💙 Making new friends
💪 Physical and mental strength
🌲 Sustainability
🌱 Participation and leadership
We would love to introduce Guides and Scouts from all over Europe to Norway and Norwegian scouting by crafting engaging programs about the country and its scouting culture.
Tasks will include planning and executing activities about Norway and Norwegian scouting – from pioneering, campfire games, and obstacle courses to Viking-era skits, workshops on Norwegian norms, and folk dances! Only creativity sets the limits!

You’ll be part of the Program Department in the Roverway 2024 Planning Team. You should expect to dedicate around 3 hours per week to the role.

We are looking for individuals who can plan main activities, smaller activities, IST activities, or courses. Particularly, we are seeking those with experience in water activities and those with experience in planning wildlife/nature/scouting activities.
Requirements:
- Passion for outdoor activities and creating memorable experiences.
- Open to individuals with diverse skill sets and backgrounds.
- For water-sport experience: Relevant certifications and instructing experience preferred.
- For wildlife/nature/scouting courses: Experience in planning and executing educational programs.

You would be a part of the Program Department in the Roverway 2024 Planning Team. The amount of time the role requires depends entirely on what you make of it! We have both small and large roles to be filled.

Path Department
Become a Path Leader!
Are you ready to create unforgettable experiences, make international friends, and explore Norway? Become a path leader at Roverway!
What is a Path?
During the first few days of Roverway, participants will embark on different paths in the southern part of Norway. A path is a five-day mini-camp for around 50 guides & scouts from different countries, focusing on themes like outdoor activities, history, community engagement, or creativity.
What is a Path Leader?
As an international path leader, you’ll organize a path for 50 participants. Responsibilities include crafting the program, coordinating meals, managing transportation, and handling technical aspects during the five days. Each path must have a minimum of 2 path leaders, and international leaders should be above 23 years old.
Practical Aspects:
Paths can be held in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. As an international path leader, you’ll receive extensive assistance in planning, especially regarding technical aspects like the campsite and transportation. Your dedicated contact person in the path department will support you every step of the way.

Marketing & Communication Department
Video Team
Are you passionate about capturing unforgettable moments on camera? Are you the go-to person in your friend group for documenting the most hilarious and memorable experiences? Well, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
The video team of Roverway 2024 is currently seeking skilled videographers who can both film and create captivating videos that truly embody the “RW-spirit”. As the Video-team is a part of the Marketing & Communications department, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with other teams and showcase your creative talents.
You should be able to commit one or two hours per month for meetings and planning, as well as be available for the entire camp week from July 22nd to August 1st. It’s important that you have your own equipment.

Photo Team

Design Team
Are you ready to unleash your creativity and shape the very essence of Roverway 2024? If you’re up for the challenge, join the Design team!
The Design team of Roverway 2024 is searching for individuals with great ideas and experience in graphic design and/or animation. In a small and cosy team, you can develop your design skills and truly influence the visual identity of Roverway 2024. From branding and signage to merchandise and animations, the Design team covers it all.
You should be able to dedicate one or two hours per week to the role and have a good understanding of Adobe software.

Radio/Podcast Team
Do you have a dream of hosting your own podcast? Do you love live radio? Bring all your ideas, enthusiasm and creativity to us – welcome to our radio and podcast team!
With technical assistance from our Live Productions team your dream can become a reality. We are looking for someone that can join us in planning out sessions, manuscript, hosts and guests to create a radio/podcast truly out of the ordinary!
This is a volunteer position, and you will be a part of Roverway’s Marketing and Communications department. You should be able to dedicate one or two hours per week to the role, as well as be available for the entire camp week from 22 July to 1 August 2024.

Food Department
Internal Controls
With responsibility for food comes the responsibility of making sure that the food hygiene is kept to high standards. In order to control our serving places we need a small team of people who can act as inspectors to make sure that the food routines are obeyed. You will create routines for inspection of food depots, cafés and point of sales. Following this you will put your own plans to life.
Knowledge of a Scandinavian language and familiarity with Norwegian is required, as one needs to be able to work closely with the appropriate Norwegian legal framework. Sound interesting? Please contact us at food@roverway.no. We are so excited to hear from you!
Service Department
Plumber
Roverway 2024 is currently searching for a skilled plumber to join our team and contribute to the success of the camp. As a plumber, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of plumbing systems throughout the camp.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a plumber.
- Proficient skills in plumbing techniques and possess relevant certifications.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to varying plumbing challenges.
Requirements:
- Availability during pre-camp and camp (16.07-02.08.2024). You are welcome to stay a week after the event as well (until 10.08.23), but that is not a requirement.
- Good communication skills, preferably in a Scandinavian language.
- Capability to work effectively with a diverse team.

This is a voluntary position within the Service Department and the Planning Team for Roverway 2024.

Machine Operator
Roverway 2024 is seeking a machine operator. You will play a crucial role in supporting the event by handling and operating various machinery as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience as a machine operator.
- Proficient skills in the operation of machines, and correct certificates (M4)
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
- Availability during pre-camp,and post camp (16.07-10.08.2024)
- Good communication skills, preferably in a Scandinavian language.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
