Bussfres Challenges
How It Works
- Choose Your Challenges: Explore the list of Leirfres challenges below. Pick the ones that excite you the most.
- Complete at Your Own Pace: There’s no rush. Take your time and enjoy the journey.
- Have Fun!: The goal is to have fun, learn, and maybe even make some new friends along the way.
- Learn the Norwegian Song “En Bussjåfør”
Sing along to the tune of “O, Christmas Tree“:
En bussjåfør, en bussjåfør
Det er en mann med
Godt humør
Og har han ikke,
Godt humør
Så er han ikke,
Bussjåfør
En bussjåfør, en bussjåfør
Det er en mann med
Godt humør
Literal Translation:
A buss driver, a buss driver
That is a man with
A jolly mood
And if he does not have
A jolly mood
Then he is not
A buss driver
A buss driver, a buss driver
That is a man with
A jolly mood - Change Seats: Change seats with someone on the bus during the trip.
- Icebreaker Questions: Prepare some icebreaker questions to ask new people when being at the main camp, such as “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”, “Pineapple on pizza, yay or nay?”, or “How did you enjoy the food on the path?”.
- Friendship Knot: Tie a friendship knot using another participant’s scarf, and show them how to do it if they don’t know already.
- Collect Waste: Collect waste on the sidewalk.
- Learn a New Knot: Learn one new knot that you can use at the main camp.
- Tied Together: Tie yourself to another person (wrist) for at least 2 hours.
- Adjective Story: Write a short story, remove all the adjectives, and ask others to fill in the blanks without knowing the story. Read the story out loud with the new adjectives.
- Digital Postcard: Create a digital postcard using pictures from your days so far. Be creative, and if you want, send it to Roverway on Instagram or Facebook Direct Message, or post it on your social media, tagging @roverway.
Tips for Success
- Plan Ahead: Think about which challenges you want to tackle first and gather any necessary materials.
- Collaborate: Some tasks are more fun with friends. Team up and make it a group effort.
- Stay Safe: Always keep safety in mind, do stay seated with your seatbelt when the bus is moving.
- Enjoy the Journey: Remember, the journey is just as important as the destination. Take time to appreciate the experience.
