About Roverway 2024
Roverway is an international jamboree for rovers organised by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) Europe. The 2024 edition is hosted by the Guides and Scouts of Norway.
From the 22 July to 2 August, more than 5500 young adults aged 16-22 years old will take part in Roverway, in the midst of Norway’s majestic mountains, beautiful fjords, and large valleys.
During the first six days of the event, participants will join mini-camps (paths) taking place all around Norway. For the second half of the event, Guides and Scouts will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of educational programmes and outdoor adventure activities that promote peace, sustainability, cross-cultural exchange and leadership skills at the main campsite in Lundsneset, in Hundvåg (Stavanger).
The participants’ unforgettable experience will be guided by our motto “NORTH of the Ordinary” – not only in a geographical sense. But in every regard, we aim for the extraordinary, ranging from food delivery, to programme and campfire.
By gathering 5500 unique individuals to get empowered by one another and by nature, we forge the path to become the leaders of tomorrow. That is NORTH of the Ordinary.
